In an effort to revitalize Delray’s Artist Alley, owner of 324 NE 3rd Ave Josh Abrams commissioned Galera Collective in Delray Beach to curate two large abstract murals to add an artistic element and stimulate conversation in and around Artist Alley. Galera Collective selected Delray’s own Hoxxoh and famed Miami based artist Remote to create two different versions of abstractions on the North and South side of the building that could be appreciated by visitors from many vistas in Delray Beach.
North Side Mural
North Side mural, design by Delray artist HoxxoH, is an explosion of paint to reflect our active ocean lifestyle in Delray Beach. From our beautiful beach waves to the many beach side activities. The design, loaded with splashes and movement, identifies with the ocean and all its wonder. Visible from blocks away and a bold statement on 3rd Avenue for southbound drivers and pedestrians heading in towards the Avenue and points south. In addition to his signature rotating mandala work, HoxxoH has developed a patented multiple spray head that allows him to create these undulating wave patterns to represent abstract oceanic scenes.
South Side Mural
South Side mural, design by artist Remote, is a more controlled interpretation of abstraction meeting geometry. Bright beautiful colors evoke the joy of the booming Downtown Delray Beach area. The geometric elements depict the various shapes and architecture featured in Delray Beach. Visible from many points downtown, the mural beckons and welcomes visitors northward from the Avenue to explore the revitalized NE 3rd Avenue and Arts District.
